The Latin American Regional Network was created to unite and elevate the patient voice across the region—fueling advocacy, amplifying lived experiences, and inspiring collective action to advance awareness and understanding of dermatological conditions in Latin America.
Rooted in the richness and diversity of Latin America, the Network brings together passionate patient leaders, organizations, and communities to share knowledge, strengthen regional connections, and learn from one another’s experiences. By harnessing collective strengths and fostering collaboration across borders, the Network helps build leadership, expand capacity, and empower organizations to create meaningful local impact while driving lasting change across the region.
These efforts are working to:
- Build a bold, connected, and empowered dermatology patient community by strengthening cross-border collaboration, amplifying shared experiences, and fostering meaningful peer support across the region.
- Creates a strong and influential regional voice that works alongside policymakers, healthcare leaders, and regional organizations to advance patient-centred policies and improve equitable access to dermatological care for all.
- Turns GlobalSkin’s strategic vision into impactful regional action through innovative programs, leadership development, and culturally responsive initiatives that reflect the unique realities and diverse healthcare landscapes of Latin America.

Network Activities
In 2026, The Latin American Working Group has been meeting throughout the year and they have outlined next steps for preparing a project application for the Regional Network, expanding collaboration among Latin American members.
Stay tuned for a notice of a region-wide meeting where the Working Group will present the ideas.
